Philippe Klocanas founded Weinberg Capital Partners along with Serge Weinberg in 2005. He co-leads the LBO team and is a member of the investment committees for the LBO, Nobel, Impact, Eiréné and WCP Co-Invest funds.
Philippe and Serge first met at Pinault-Printemps-Redoute (PPR) in 2000. They worked together for five years before founding Weinberg Capital Partners. As head of corporate development at PPR and a member of its Executive Committee, he played an active role in the refocusing of the group on retail and the luxury sector through disposals of several assets (Finaref, Guilbert, Facet and PBM) and the acquisition of Gucci. He completed the €3.7 billion sale of Rexel to the investment fund Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, Eurazeo and Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity.
Philippe is a graduate of EMLyon Business School. In 2021, he became President of the EMLyon Foundation. Placed under the auspices of the Fondation de France, the foundation’s mission is to promote social openness and diversity.
