Retranscription – RÉSIDIS

Cédric Weinberg, Partner & Managing Director of the Impact project

Alexandre, we’ve been working together for three years now, haven’t we?

Alexandre Fedoroff, CEO of Résidis

Yes that’s right, three years; how time flies!

Cédric Weinberg, Partner & Managing Director of the Impact project

Metric Capital approached us to help them implement the impact plan.

Alexandre Fedoroff, CEO of Résidis

When I arrived and joined WCP and Metric, I was interested in introducing the impact plan, which extended beyond the primary purpose of emergency housing. I was also eager to address integration and autonomy aspects with staff members, meaning that today we have a real enterprise project, shared by all our employees.

Cédric Weinberg, Partner & Managing Director of the Impact project

Very quickly after the investment we tried hard to define Résidis’ primary purpose, which was to facilitate autonomy. As you know, the primary purpose was built around three priority areas: enhancing living conditions, improving housing conditions and integrating our residents.

Alexandre Fedoroff, CEO of Résidis

WCP helped us to apply these three priority areas day-to-day. We defined KPIs that are highly operational, very measurable, and that we can share with the teams, meaning that when we are audited at the end of each year by a third party, the KPIs really mean something for all the staff and are very tangible. And that was important for me.

Cédric Weinberg, Partner & Managing Director of the Impact project

This is why we wanted to hire Sabrina Nadji, who coordinates the impact plan. We deemed it extremely important, given the plan’s ambition, to appoint an individual to run it.

Sabrina Nadji, Director of Résidis’ social impact

This is my mission in a nutshell: to deploy the impact project across all of our housing complexes. To do this, I rely on associations to bring our common areas to life. Offering a service also means breathing life into these spaces. That’s what you wanted. To offer French lessons, educational support – which is close to your heart – and English lessons. Sports halls too because we need to guarantee the well-being and autonomy of our residents. We deploy all of this across all our housing complexes, both in the Île-de-France region and in other regions, to offer a real quality of life to our residents.

Cédric Weinberg, Partner & Managing Director of the Impact project

All of this is especially important seeing as our residents stay for two and a half years on average, and it was important for the complexes not only to offer emergency shelter.

Sabrina Nadji, Director of Résidis’ social impact

Yes, our complexes are home to different profiles: working individuals, students, asylum seekers, refugees, as well as female victims of domestic abuse, to whom we provide shelter 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

Cédric Weinberg, Partner & Managing Director of the Impact project

We’re proud today to have built together a model which is both lasting and which makes a difference.  And we’re not about to stop here; we’re going to grow and, under your leadership, we’re going to roll out the impact plan across all our housing complexes.
