Caterina
Romanelli

Head of Sustainability, member of the Investment Advisory Board Impact

Caterina Romanelli began her career in 2012 at the private equity firm PAI Partners, where she created and led the firm’s responsible investment and sustainability strategy.

Caterina left PAI Partners in 2017 to take the reins at her family’s organic farm in Italy, which she approached as an experimentation ground for new ideas, in relation to both business processes and impact issues. At the same time, she helped create an Italian impact fund in partnership with Slow Food, the international organization dedicated to protecting the biodiversity of the world’s food supply. From 2021 to 2022, she headed the Italian business development office for the Reporting 21 platform designed by the CSR/ESG strategic consulting firm Sirsa.

Caterina is often invited to speak at international conferences on impact investing and sustainable farming.

“What I love about what I do is that I get to play an active role in the financing of companies working across a wide range of contexts and sectors that are contributing to social and environmental transformation. I enjoy being able to assist over the long term with this process, which is built around ambitious action plans.”
