Company overview

Created in 1884 by Benjamin Bénéteau, Bénéteau is now the global leader in the manufacturing of pleasure boats. Through a portfolio of nine brands, the group offers 128 models of pleasure boats that cater to the diversity of its customers’ uses and navigation projects, from sailing to motorized, from monohulls to catamarans.

Our approach

Nobel is stepping in to support the majority shareholder family just as Bénéteau is implementing a significant productivity improvement plan. Bénéteau is refocusing on a smaller number of brands and models, specializing its factories by production type, and selling its housing activity to strengthen its position as a global leader in the boating industry.

Making a difference

As a locally involved actor, the Bénéteau Group is particularly attentive to preserving jobs in its historical territory of Vendée (France) while continuing its internationalization efforts.

ESG in focus

In 2019, the Bénéteau Group reached a new milestone in its commitment to sustainable development by identifying 44 challenges in the areas of environment, social issues, territories, and governance.
Among the identified challenges, Bénéteau places great emphasis on working towards the reduction of the environmental impact of its industrial operations. This is exemplified through a policy aimed at reducing emissions of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) stemming from the construction of pleasure boats, as well as limiting the generation of hazardous waste.
In the same time, Bénéteau has implemented a policy aimed at strengthening gender equality and promoting diversity and inclusion within the Group.
