The Recyc-Matelas Europe Group is the French leader in the dismantling of mattresses and the recovery of the materials resulting from them (more than 90% of the materials resulting from the dismantling of mattresses are recovered). The Group was created in 2010 in response to the observation of the absence of alternative solutions to the burial of mattresses (nearly 80,000 to 90,000 tonnes of waste annually).
The activity of Recyc-Matelas Europe is based on 3 pillars: (i) the dismantling and treatment of mattresses, (ii) the recovery and marketing of materials from the dismantling of mattresses to different sectors and (iii) recovery of waste by combustion or methanization intended to produce energy for materials that cannot be recycled.
Recyc-Matelas Europe has also been an integration agreement company since 2013. The Group thus enables people who have lost their job to find a new activity.
The Group currently has 4 treatment sites in France and 1 in Belgium.
The Group's activity responds to issues at the heart of current public policy priorities in terms of circular economy and integration. Through this investment, WCP IMPACT DEV aims to optimize the Group's environmental impact, maintain the employability of employees, and innovate in order to provide solutions to transform waste into responsible resources and products.
