Company overview
Co-founded by two brothers, Augustin and Hadrien Clément-Fromentel, Orion Énergies is a French platform for the development and operation of solar photovoltaic power plants. With a track record spanning some fifteen years, the company, which employs nearly 70 experts based in Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux, Toulouse and Rennes, has developed its expertise in medium-sized rooftop and ground-mounted projects (on brownfield sites or degraded land).
Since 2020, Orion Énergies has become an independent electricity producer through the operation of photovoltaic power plants developed in-house and already operates more than 700 power plants, giving it a strong regional presence.
Our approach
Through its minority stake, the Impact team is supporting Orion Énergies in a new phase of its development, which includes defining a tailor-made impact plan based on three commitments:
• proximity to local communities;
• limiting the impact on the environment and biodiversity;
• promoting the well-being and performance of teams.
Making a difference
Orion Énergies’ activities provide a concrete response to the energy transition and the fight against climate change. The solar sector also plays a key role in supporting and increasing French and European energy sovereignty.
To illustrate its position as a committed player, Orion Énergies has adopted a mission statement: ‘Let’s bring sustainable sunshine to our regions’ and is a founding member of the Le Solaire Territorial association.
