Sophie Chateau joins Weinberg Capital Partners as a Head of Investor Relations

Weinberg Capital Partners is strengthening its team with the appointment of Sophie Chateau as Head of Investor Relations starting July 1st, 2011.

Her primary duty will be to handle relations with investors of Weinberg Capital Partners Fund #1 (€418m) as well as investors of Weinberg Real Estate Partners #1 (€85m).

Sophie Chateau has a 13-year experience in capital investment. Appointed Director at Chevrillon-Candover in 1998, she then was named Director at Chevrillon & Associés, an independent private equity company with numerous investments in private industrial and services companies.

During this period, Sophie Chateau was responsible for LBO and direct investments deals (such as Picard Surgelés, MC International, Dupont Medical, Linagora), as well as distress capital transactions (Daum, EuropMedica) and venture capital deals (Novagali, Traqueur, Bagtech, Osmo).

Alongside her administrator mandates, she was in charge of investments in funds and funds of funds (Candover funds, Capital Dynamics VC V and special Opportunities I, Auriga Ventures II and III), as well as public traded companies follow-up (Générale de Santé, Hi Media). She was also responsible for investor relations, covering the different Chevrillon & Associés activities.

Sophie Chateau started her career at UBS as an M&A analyst in Paris from 1995-1996, then in London until 1998.

Sophie Château (39) graduated from Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP) in 1994. She is FSA approved and member of the SFAF.
