Charles-Henri Filippi joins Weinberg Capital Partners as a Partner

Charles-Henri Filippi started his career at the Inspection Office of the Finance Ministry (1979-82), before joigning the Staff of the Minister of Budget (Laurent Fabius) and the Staff of the Minister for the Economy (Jacques Delors). In 1984 he was appointed Chief of Staff of the Minister of Social Affairs (Georgina Dufoix). In 1987, he became General Secretary of the CIRI (Inter-ministerial Committee on Industrial Restructuring).
In 1987 he moved to the French bank CCF as Deputy for the CEO. He became Central Director (in charge of key accounts), then Vice President and Managing Director of CCF. In 2000, following the acquisition of CCF by HSBC, he was appointed to the Management Committee of HSBC, in charge of the Group's Corporate and Investment Banking business. In 2004, he was appointed Chairman and CEO of HSBC France.
In 2008, he launched Alfina, an independant financial company specialised in Asset Management and Financial Restructuring. Alfina and Weinberg Capital Partners joined forces in 2009.
Charles-Henri Filippi is member of the Board of Directors of L'Oréal and France Telecom, and auditor of Nexity, a French Real Estate Group. He is also member of the Board of the Georges Pompidou Museum of Modern Art.
Charles-Henri Filippi graduated from Sciences-Po Paris (Paris Institute of Political Sciences) and holds an MSc in Economics. He is a former student of the Ecole Nationale d'Administration (ENA), the French School for Civil Service.
